Today

we went to the Miami Seaquarium to take the kids for a change. We've had the annual pass for almost a year so we decided to use it so they could do something different. We went to see the dolphins and Lolita, the killer whale. For the first time ever I promised Ana Paula to put away my camera in the whale show so we could seat on the front, she wanted the whale to wet us. We were in the second row and we finished the show soaked!! they enjoyed a lot, but the best part for them was to find out that I was there, all wet and laughing. Oscar didn't seat in the fron, he had a little bit of water and then he decided to go up. We also spent a lot of time in the tanks that we never visit, one that has a reef and the one that has the manatees. I took some great pictures, here are my favorites.

this was worth the day...

Yesterday was my 10th. year wedding anniversary, and I always thought of this day as a very special one, I always imagined we would travel to Paris to renew or vows and that Oscar will ask me to be his wife for 10 more years giving me another ring in the Eiffel Tower.... dreams.
Yes, I know this is a little bit cheese but I am a romantic sentimental no matter what, and I think that after 10 years all the romance and cute details have to be renewed, we've lost all that, how sad! right? This was so wanted that I guess Italked of it a lot and Ana Paula knew that that was what I wanted.
Right now we are going through one of those fases, we don't have anything but problems in all aspects and of course Paris and all that wasn't an option.
So my precious little girl decided that she was going to make my dream come true, and she left a big basket over my bed with a flower, a heart with a little bear and 2 pieces of paper folded very cute with a heart lolly pop, I almost dropped when I unfold one of the drawings. Do you see? she made my dream come true! that is me in the Eiffel Tower and Oscar kneeling down with a ring asking me to be his wife for another 10 years. I was very touched and all I could do was cry. The other drawing shows Oscar giving me a flower.
This little details is what life is all about, I didn't got to go to Paris, nor received a new ring nor was asked to be Oscar's wife for the next 10 years. (I think this 10 had been enought for him) but this was worth the day. Now I realized this was just another day, a day like every other day but I always remember this drawing. Thanks Paui for making me feel so special in this sad day. I love you!

I couldn't

pick only 5 so here are some more... isn't she cute?

Mia

Yesterday I got to photograph this little princess, we met @ the park near my home. I was afraid that TS Alberto wouldn't let us take the pictures but the day was great, a little bit windy, hot but not extremely and the humidity wasn't that bad. Grandma made for her all kind of flower crowns and bands for every outfit. She looked cutter with every new one she wore. Seh was perfect, it seems like headbands are part of her life because she didn't try to take them off, not even once. Her mom wanted flower theme so I got some beautiful pink gerber daisys that of course Mia didn't like, she was more attracted to the stem than to the flower. I am very happy with the pictures I got. Toddlers that age are hard, but she was just perfect.

Danny Dynamite... pure dynamite!

This little guy is pure dynamite but a very cute one he reminded me so much Santiago when he was that age. He never stopped and shoot had to be adapted to his will but I got very nice pictures and her mom loved them.
Here he is, meet Danny Dynamite! Isn't he cute?

Baby Karina

Monday morning I had an early appointment to meet baby Karina, the shoot was @ her home so it was very nice. This little lady was perfect. She was without her diaper for a very long time and she didn't pi! this is the first time this happens in one of my baby shoots! She didn't wanted to sleep and refused to take pictures with teddy bear but finally she surrendered and let me do my job! Her parents are ver sweet and nice and I had a great time.

A trip down memory lane...

This past weekend, July, a very special human being that had been more that my friend for more than 20 years came to Miami. She lives in Minnesotta with ther husband Eric and daughter Paula and this was a very special for me. She came to see her dad who also lives here but I got to spend some time with them. July and me met when she was 13 and I was 14 and became as one ever since. We shared everything and I spent with her more time than with anybody else while growing up. Then we got married and made our lives out of Mexico, we never see each other (we talk on the phone all the time) but still there is something very strong that keep us together, she is like a sister to me, she knows me perfectly well. It was very nice to have some time to spend we her chatting, remembering, crying, just enjoying each other.
Thanks for this hours together, they really meant a lot to me and you know that having you down here was very nice for me.
Here is a picture of us that Oscar took.

The house was in the middle of Homestead, 30 mins. south from Miami, it was a great wooden house with a great backyard and vegetation. Taylor's mom is one of the owners of a very cute scrapbooking store here in Miami, and Genevive's grandma is the other owner that is why the store is called GT Inspirations, and these two are really an inspiration!!. Beautiful eyes of two beautiful grils. Here are some of my favorites.
