Here we go again...

here we go again! another hurricane is threatining our area. Argghhhhh! we are tired of hurricanes, this year has been terrible.
Anyways this one is Wilma, they say it is the bigger and most dangerous hurricane in the history so we need to be very careful. We don't know yet how close it will be to us or its strenght as it is now in the coast of the mexican caribbean and they think it will trun north east as soon as it reaches the Gulf of Mexico.
We are putting shutters up, we already have our hurricane kit ready.
Let's hope we are not on its way.

Meeting our Admiral!

While in Orlando I called Jen Newton the admiral and mastermind of ScrapsAhoy to meet on Saturday. We drove to Altamonte Springs and met at a mall. We went scrapbooking shopping to a LSS and then we had luch together. I've talked to Jen in the phone several times and I had the impression that she was a very kind, generous and nice person but I was wrong! she is so much more that that! I loved to met her and to have the chance to talk for a while! I can only say she is one of the best human beings I've ever met. I feel very close to her now, her creativity is endless and she is just Jen. Thanks my frind for your hospitality! I also had the chance to meet her two adorable kids, Strling wich is such a character and Alexis, she is such a sweet little girl! she captured my heart in 10 seconds!
We also went to the ship's headquarters and had the chance to shop there and too! we got some great deals!
We even had a photoshoot wich I enjoyed a lot!
Now I feel more proud to be part of the ScrapsAhoy community and to work for such an incredible and talented woman!
Thanks Jen!

Memories Expo Orlando

This past weekend I attended the Momories Expo with my friends and we had a blast! Denise, Maria, Lisely and myself. What a great experience. We got lost while Denise was driving to Orlando, it is a looong story but all I can say is that we ended up in Naples, St. Petesburg and Tampa! well if you want to go north then don't go west right?!!! But thanks to this mistake we got to go to Violette's, a super nice scrapbook store in Lakeland, FL. the ladies there are super nice and I just love that store. When we got to Orlando we spent the rest of the day at the show, shopping, shopping oh and shopping! I went nuts at the Heidi Swapp booth, and bought EVERYTHING!! what a great feeling. Then we went to the hotel to rest for a while and chat a little bit, we took a bath and went out for dinner. I laughed a lot and really enjoyed the company of these 3 crazy ladies! We came back home on Saturaday night after spending the day with Jen at the ScrapsAhoy headquarters!

Destination: MEXICO!

This month we are traveling to Mexico at ScrapsAhoy.com. As you can imagine I loved this destination, especially because I could complete a LO I had in my mind for more that a year. I worked searching for the right pictures and finally got them all on August! just in time for my destination LOS.
The title of this one is MEXICO, THE PLACE I CALL MY HOME
This is one of my favorite LOS so far! I just LOVE the journaling and how it came out.
Journaling reads:
For many people Mexico means fiesta, chiles, good food, beautiful beaches, burritos and guacamole, tequila, fun, cerveza and maracas. Cancun, Acapulco and sombreros.Maybe, for others it means culture, bright colors andtextures, great landscapes and nice people. But for me Mexico means so much moreFor me Mexico is the place where I wasborn, the place where I learned themeaning and importance of theword family., where I learned toadmire the sea, The place whereI learned to love and respectmy country and my flag, where I learned how importantculture and the heritage are, where Ilearned to love and enjoy life and thevalue of friendship and traditions. The place where I learned the meaning of faith in my life. Where I learned the meaning of commitment and what “yes I do” and “forever” mean. The place where I fell in love and where I learned what is being a mommy. The place where I was very happy for a long time. For me Mexico is…The place I call my home

I used a lot of old pictures of myself growing up and becoming who I am. The big picture is the Zocalo in Mexico's City downtown.
