I am the winner!

Today we had a great day! we went to pick up Ana Pau @ Denise's and then went to the beach, we decided to go up north so we drove to Comercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. The beach was perfect, it was hot but breeze, the water was clan and clear and the temperature: just perfect! We played, swimed, talk.... perfect day! After the beach we eat something nd drove to Pompano Beach to the fishing Pier, there is one right by the beach we were in Commercial but it was closed, it was damaged during the last hurricane and they are still repairing it. The fishing pier in Pompano is a ver unique place, the people there is... well unique. Oscar prepared the fishing poles for us, Santi had his Nemo pole and Pau her Barbie pole. I was taking pictures while Oscar was trying to catch some bait with the sabiki line when suddenly Santi started to call me with a strange face, I looked @ him and he just said help me help me! he was fighting with his Nemo pole, I put my camera aside and helped him to get our whatever was eating his bait. He caught a fish and it was a pretty big one considering his size and his pole. The pier was full of fishermen and immediately everybody turned to look @ him and his fish. They started asking what kind of pole he had and Oscar laughed a lot when he ansewered well it is a Nemo one we got from Wal-mart and it was only 8.00! I am so glad I had my camera with me! Santi was the proudest kid ever! Here is the picture of my winner, one of the fish (it's hard to see it in the pciture) and another cute one I got while they were fishing.

Bye Bye Nanny McPhee

Last week Ana Pau lost her first upper front teeth, this happened the day before I left to Provo, her other front tooth was very loose too. When I came back from Provo instead of my beautiful daughter I found Nanny McPhee home! the other front tooth was so loose that it was hanging outside her mouth. Being the drama queen she is Oscar couldn't pull it out until Friday, a frind st school tryed to pull it out, she couldn't when she came back home Oscar couldn't help it and pulled it.
Now she looks really pretty, I am sad because her face is going to start to change with the new teeth. She says that tahnks god school is over because she looks terrible. We think she looks adorable!
Here are some pictures

I am back!

We came back from Provo on Sunday night. The travel back was long, long long. First we flew from Salt Lake to Chicago and then change planes to get to Miami, This last flight was packed and really uncomfortable.
Before driving to Salt Lake, Denise drove us around the town so we could get some pictures of the adorable town Provo is. Here are a few of my favorites and of course I couldn't miss one of the snowed mountain, I took a lot of that mountain because I loved it and this one is for Denise's enjoyment! Denise, isn't the mountain beautiful? yes a do have a lot of pictures of it but I love the all!!

I made this shoot a few days ago but haven's had time to proof the session until yeaterday , I made Ana Paula and Santiago wear their daddy's shirt and tie and we had a great time doing these photos. Here are some of my favorites

So exciting

Tomorrow I am leaving to CKU Provo with my very best friends Desnise and Lisely. I can't wait!! I am done packing all the scrapping, just need to pack clothes and I'll be ready I know it is not a good time for me to go to this trip but I really need it, I feel guilty to be spending money when there are so many things that need to be taken care of @ home. But I've been saving to go and I am going to do it. I am sure I will feel better when I get into that plane. So Utah watch out because the Chunky but Funky bunch is comming!

I survived Mother's Day

It is over and I survived! I had a hard day, especially duing the morning when my sister left, I was thinking a lot about my mom and I don't know why every time I try to remember the good times the only image that comes to my mind is the last time I kissed her goodbye, how she hugged me and how we both cryed and cryed, how I turned my back and walked to that taxi that drove me to the airport to come home. That was the last time she hold me, the last time I kissed her and the last time I saw her. My "daughter part" was very very sad today, but I also have a "mom side" that feels very happy to have such a pair of treasures. We spent all day home, I didn't feel like going anywhere. In the afternoon we went to the park to play softball and football and Oscar took this picture of me with my treasures. I love it.

This weekend

My sister came to visit us with her friend Jesus. They were here for 3 days only but we had a great time, Ana Paula and Santi loves when K comes, they played with balloons full of water, painted, and laughed a lot. We also went shopping shopping shopping, well they went shoping we were only supporting them with our opinions. Santi loves to play with Chucho he keeps on saying Chucho is MY friend! We had a great time. K you didn't say when are you comming back! We already miss you!.

Last night's moon

Last night, as we were driving to the grocery store, we saw the best full moon ever, I was lucky enought to have my camera with me and I got this 2 photos.

Mother's Day

Today's been a very hard and sad day. May 10th. is Mother's Day in Mexico and this is my first Mother's Day without my mom. I still can't believe she's not with me anymore, and that she will never again. I just can't describe how much I miss her, every day is worst and this feeling never just never changes. I am very sad, I need her so much.

On other things i've been working non stop for 3 days in a few pictures I took this past Sunday, I say a few because they were only 1,470 photos, and I've been proofing them! Denise organized this portrait reunion and called all her family. I love many of the pictures I got I will share some of them in the next post.

MS Bike Tour

Today I had the pleasure of going down to Key Largo to the finish line of the MS bike tour and it was a great experience. Russ and Rodger, Denise's husband and brother in law, were part of the tour, they drove 75 miles (actually I think it was more) on their bikes to raise funds to find a cure for MS. I am really very proud of them, 75 miles in a bike in South Florida (today was the hottest day of the year) sounds easy but certanly it is not. They trained for a long time and finally they did it. I think that Denise must feel very special to have such a great family that are always there for her, no matter if being there means such a big effort.
We got there like 1 hour before the Enterprise team (Enterprise was sponsoring the guys team) and we waited for them, when they found us then the photography rally started!!, I was sitting on the trunk of Russ's suv with the window open and shooting like a mad woman, Denise was driving the car and she did a great job getting me near the team to take some great pictures of the bikers. I just love all the pcitures I took, here are some.
It feels so good to have such brave friends, they are true heroes and we feel very proud of them.
You rock Irvines!
