B: My favorite Little Princess!
Remember this little princess? This is Miss B and she is a super special baby for me. I met B 12 months ago through Now I lay me Down To Sleep.
Her mom called me when she was a few days old to ask me to photograph her. She was born with a rare condition called Trisomy 18, a condition that it is not compatible with life, her parents were told that she could die in the next 24 hours. After a few days at the hospital they were sent home they couldn't do anything but wait for the worst and pray. I photographed her when she was 10 days old, and it has been one of the most emotional sessions I ever had, she looked perfectly well, it was so hard to believe that she will not make it... I finished the session and after a couple of hours photographing her I learned a lot of lessons, her parents are absolutely amazing and I felt so attached to them.
Little we knew that their precious baby girl was a warrior hidden in that tiny body she hung to life and at 6 months old she had heart surgery, again this little warrior hung to life and when she was 7 months I had the privilege to photograph her again with her family.
I am proud to announce that B turned 1 year old last Saturday!! she is an amazing princess that has been fighting for her life since the day she was born. She has the most incredible family. Her parents are so full of love and so grateful to have her. They just live day by day and enjoy every instant with her. They don't know what is next as little B is truly a miracle, no babies with this condition survive and little B is giving hope to a lot of families with babies that are diagnosed with Trisomy 18.
As for me she has touched my life in ways I can't even explain, she and her family had reminded me how important it is to live and enjoy every instant and to be grateful for what I have.
Of course I was at her party and I shot some photos. So here she is: Amazing Princess B!
